Landing Page Tip #151

No clothier would put women’s lingerie on the same clothing rack as men’s hunting gear. No grocer would put baby food next to Clorox bleach. There are some items that just don’t go together.

Landing pages and traffic source (keywords, display ads, context ads, etc.) must go together. If they don’t, your prospect will go somewhere else where things make sense. If you use a pay-per-click engine like Google, you’ll
find your Quality Scores will drop and make your adspend rise if you ignore this connection.

Make sense.  Make sure the source ad that is pushing traffic to your landing page matches your actual ad copy on your landing page. Do this and your profits will rise. Avoid it and watch the traffic slip away.

The SitePropeller Truth to Remember is this:

Make sure your landing page and your pay-per-click or display ads “go together.”
